Moon in Scorpio: This is a Water sign. It is a good time to sow Leaf plants like Cabbages, Celeriac, Celery, Dill, Lettuce, Rhubarb, Spinach, but it would not be a good time to sow Fruiting plants like Aubergines, Broad Beans, Cucumber, Peas, Peppers, Tomatoes*

240 BC – 1st recorded perihelion passage of Halley's Comet.

1725 – 2nd performance of Johann Sebastian Bach's St. John Passion BWV 245 at the St. Thomas Church, Leipzig. Included in this performance were 5 movements from his "Weimarer Passion" BWV deest (BC D 1).

1858 – Hymen Lipman patents a pencil with an attached eraser.

1949 – A riot breaks out in Austurvöllur square in Reykjavík, when Iceland joins NATO.

1979 – Airey Neave, a British Member of Parliament, is killed by a car bomb as he exits the Palace of Westminster. The Irish National Liberation Army claims responsibility.
